I have absolutely no idea about the provenance of this CD. It was on sale on the Internet via recognised shops, but is now deleted. I assume that it was legally produced and that it was released with Richie's permission, since an interview with him is included in the liner notes. Recorded in the USA in 1990, the tracks are a mixture of live accompanied and unaccompanied (*) songs, most of which have appeared on studio recordings in the 80s & 90s as shown.

Tracks 1-7 recorded at the Cellar Door in Washington, produced by Bernard Fox, 1970. These were scheduled for an album that was never released until Five Star obtained the rights and released this CD in 1990. Track 7 was released on Alarm Clock (1971)

Tracks 8-10 recorded at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, produced by Mark Roth, 1972. This was the same session that produced a few tracks for the On Stage album (see below).

The version of San Francisco Bay Blues on Collection is taken from this album while the version on Resume is taken from Mixed Bag (see Compilations).

The US version, in addition to having several extra tracks, also had a "free" bonus single.

Some of the "extra" tracks on this US version were used to supplement the material recorded on the Live at the Cellar Door CD (above).
